The FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff will be held Saturday, January 9, 2027. We are excited to welcome all teams to the start of the 2027 FIRST Robotics Competition season.
The Western & Central PA Kickoff will take place at North Catholic High School in Cranberry Township, hosted by Team 5740, The Trojanators. This year’s kickoff will be a “Pick Up Only” event, with no workshops following the kickoff broadcast.
Teams may stay warm and cozy at their home base while sending a driver (and companion?) to North Catholic High School to pick up their Kit of Parts for this season’s game, Biocore, presented by Haas. The Trojanators will be watching the official kickoff broadcast from FIRST Headquarters in Manchester at the event location. Drivers and companions are welcome to watch the video presentation upon arrival. If your entire team wants to come out to watch the broadcast together, pick up your kit, and head out afterward, you’re absolutely invited – the more energy in the room, the better. We look forward to seeing you and kicking off another incredible season of creativity, engineering, and teamwork.
Please send us an email to let us know that someone other than a coach or mentor of your team will be picking up your team’s kit of parts. It’s not formal, but we would like to know what’s up.
